Jonas Fauche letters, 1795.

This collection consists of a letter from Jonas Fauche to Colonel Charles Howard, his response and Fauche's second letter, all regarding the illegal proceedings of Elijah Clark and Daniel McGirt. Elijah Clark obtained a large amount of land, sometimes by questionable means, and was involved in the Yazoo fraud of 1795. These are contemporary copies of the three letters on one 4-page folio.
